Sugarloaf Reroute Volunteer Project
June 12, 2019 @ 9:00 am - June 14, 2019 @ 4:00 pm
Join Volunteer Crew Leader Stephanie Hoff as we construct new trail on a 1000′ reroute to improve the trail experience.
Project Details:
We will be constructing new trail on a 1000′ reroute with hand tools using basic 4 step tread construction, along with a short boardwalk and some potential rock armoring.
Each work day will be from 9am-4pm, and we’ll round up at 8:30am. We will carpool to the trailhead, and the work site is approximately a quarter mile from the trailhead.
Lodging will be provided at Schroeder Town Hall. Sleep indoors or bring a tent and sleep outdoors.
Showers will be available at Lamb’s Resort across the street.
Breakfast and dinner will be provided. Please plan to bring your own lunch. (Please let us know in the from below if you have dietary restrictions.)
Bring work gloves, comfortable work clothes, leather work boots (8″ high preferable), water bottles (3-4 32oz bottles), sun screen, bug dope or head net, a pack for things you will need for the day, and lodging supplies (sleeping bag, pillow, towel etc.). We will provide gloves, hard hat and safety glasses if people do not have them.
