Normanna Trailhead to Heron Pond Campsite & Back, 3.6 miles roundtrip

Snowshoe through forests and past scenic beaver ponds to Heron Pond Campsite. Return via same route. Meet at Normanna Road Trailhead.
Directions to Normanna Road Trailhead: At Hwy. 61 milepost 7.9, turn north (left) on Lakewood Rd. (Co. Rd. 692) and go 7.5 miles to Pioneer Rd. (Co. Rd. 40). Turn west (left) and go 1.5 miles to French River Rd. (Co. Rd. 38). Turn north and go 1.0 miles to intersection of French River Rd. and Normanna Rd. (Co. Rd. 38). Continue straight ahead on driveway to parking lot of North Shore State Trail/Superior Hiking Trail.

Bring your own snowshoes. For snowshoe hikes, beginners are welcome –  but please know how to put your snowshoes on prior to arrival.
