Guided Hike – Cascade River State Park Wayside to Caribou Trail
June 29, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Cascade River State Park Wayside to Caribou Trail, 11.3 miles
Saturday, June 29, 10am
Enjoy a challenging, but beautiful 11.3-mile hike through the Sawtooth Mountains. This section has it all: waterfalls on the Cascade River, big views of the big lake, mature maple forests, and a stunning reward at the end – a big view of Caribou Lake from White Sky Rock. Be sure to pack a lunch and extra water for this long day hike. A word of caution: this hike is not for beginners! Please be prepared for a longer, more difficult trek on the Trail. This hike will be led by longtime SHTA volunteer Stew Carlson. Meet at Caribou Trail Trailhead.
Directions to Caribou Trail Trailhead: At Hwy. 61 milepost 92.0, turn left on Cook Co. Rd 4 (Caribou Trail) and go 4.1 miles to Co. Rd. 94. Turn right and take immediate left to trailhead parking lot.
