Join the SHTA at the Great Lakes Outdoor Summit

The Superior Hiking Trail Association will join dozens of other outdoor recreation organizations at the upcoming Great Lakes Outdoor Summit on October 24-26, 2024 in Duluth. You’re invited!
The Great Lakes Outdoor Summit welcomes outdoor recreation advocates, enthusiasts, businesses, and adventurers from throughout the Midwest to network and learn from each other in a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment.
Last year the event sold out, so they are doubling capacity and moving to a bigger venue at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) to accommodate the growing interest in outdoor recreation in our region.
This year’s Summit includes keynote speakers from outdoor recreation industry leaders, networking opportunities, and 12 informational sessions.
Session Themes Include:
- Environmental Stewardship
- Community Engagement
- Non-Profit Capacity Building
- Outdoor Recreation Economy
- Government + Policy
Thursday, October 24
Join us at the historic West Theatre for an evening social and live radio show. Fitz Cahall, creator of the influential podcast The Dirtbag Diaries, will moderate and record outdoor stories from regional icons. Optional daytime trainings will also be available.
Friday, October 25
Full day Summit hosted at the DECC, 350 Harbor Drive in Duluth.
Saturday, October 26
Activities and field trips led by local outdoor recreation non-profits, organizations, and retailers, allowing attendees to explore and experience all Duluth has to offer.
