POSTPONED: Volunteer — Bean and Bear Lakes Reroute
June 4 @ 8:00 am - June 6 @ 5:00 pm
Update: Bean and Bear Lakes Loop Reroute Postponed.
Due to the evolving health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, SHTA has indefinitely postponed this reroute planned for June 2020.
We’ve made this decision out of an abundance of caution to protect our collective health and prevent the spread of the virus. We will share rescheduled opportunities for you to get involved through our Volunteer Portal.
We are grateful to have dedicated volunteers like you in our community, and we will continue to follow the guidance of public health officials to ensure that all of our activities are safe and enjoyable for all. Thank you for your understanding.
You can find COVID-19 updates from SHTA and helpful resources from partners on our website at superiorhiking.org/covid-19
Join Volunteer Crew Leaders Stephanie Hoff and Michael Loscheider on June 4, 5, and 6 to complete a reroute on the Bean and Bear Lakes loop started in 2019. This 1400′ reroute will elevate the Superior Hiking Trail out of a long, muddy area and onto sustainable sidehill tread. This is a perfect chance to hone trailbuilding skills and give back to a much-loved area.
We need 20-25 volunteers. Volunteers can come for one, two, or all days. Group camping is available at Tettegouche State Park the nights of June 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Registration will open soon.
