Make history during SHTA’s 40th Anniversary! Help build the abutments for the new Split Rock River Bridge. Volunteers will learn how to layout and construct abutments for a bridge. Tasks may include site layout, prep and excavation, building concrete forms, mixing and pouring concrete, measuring, marking and cutting lumber, and constructing timber cribbing and steps. No experience necessary! All tools and training will be provided by SHTA. Expect up to a 2.5 mile hike from trailhead to project. Camping and dinners provided (details will be emailed before the event).
