Our crews recently performed some outstanding trail renewal work (see photos here), building a heavy-duty boardwalk near the Hovland Lakewalk on the#SuperiorHikingTrail. The new structure will greatly improve the experience of trail users along a perpetually muddy section and keep the Trail from widening into surrounding vegetation.

While our team made great progress, there’s more work to be done to finish it up. We’ll be back at it Wednesday and Thursday, August 14-15, and we need a few more volunteers to help out.

Camping will be available at the Grand Marais Municipal Campground. Tools, PPE, and training will be provided.
