This 7.5 mile hike features some of the most spectacular scenery and diverse habitats on the SHT. From the breathtaking views from the Section 13 cliffs, to the primeval vistas of the Sawmill creek valley inhabited by otter, beaver, and moose, to the remote aspen and cedar forests along the baptism river, this trail has it all. This hike is moderate to difficult. Hikers should plan on meeting at the Lake County Road 6 trailhead at the posted start time. Participants will then board a shuttle bus to the hike starting point at the SHT Lake County Road 6 parking lot. Exact start and end time of the hike will be flexible depending on how long it takes to complete the shuttle process.

If multiple people wish to hike together, each participant must complete a separate registration. Youth ages 12-17 are welcome if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
