Beaver Bay to Silver Bay, 4.4 miles

If Day One of our back-to-back hikes wasn’t enough pounding for your boots, stick around and join us for this 4.4-mile journey along the lovely Beaver River and through pine-forested ridges with big views. After the previous day’s voyage, you’ll be accustomed to the up-and-down nature of this beautiful section. If you’re lucky, you might spot the unofficial mascot of the SHT, Birchy the Beaver, on their home turf in Beaver Bay. Meet at Penn Blvd. Trailhead in Silver Bay

Directions to Penn Blvd. Trailhead in Silver Bay: At Hwy 61 milepost 54.3, turn left at stoplight on Outer Drive and go 1.5 miles to Penn Blvd. Continue straight 0.5 miles on Penn Blvd to parking lot on right.
