Join the Association

Help keep the Superior Hiking Trail one of the most desirable hiking and running destinations in the country. Here are a few of the ways your membership directly benefits the Trail:

  • We create maps and guides for you and other trail users.
  • We “weed whip” nearly every foot of the SHT and perform other critical maintenance to keep the trail open and appealing.
  • With your support we can make and execute plans for much needed trail restoration and future expansion of spur trails and loops.

All active SHTA members will receive our newsletter, The Ridgeline, a few times a year, in addition to our Trail Mix e-news updates each month.

Please note: As of September 2020, the SHTA has discontinued our pocket map series, and maps are no longer included in new member welcome kits or provided to current members. Maps can be purchased through our online store

If you would like to support the SHT through your business, visit our Business Membership page.

Other Ways to Give
Work Place Giving

Many companies today offer employees the option of electing to make payroll contributions to the charitable organizations they support. Some provide matching gifts. If you participate in one of these programs, please choose the Superior Hiking Trail Association!

Leave a Legacy Gift

Help preserve the Trail for generations to come. Visit our Legacy Gifts page or contact Development and Communications Director Jaron Cramer at [email protected] to discuss your legacy gift ideas. Once we assist you in how to best invest in the SHT, your financial advisor, lawyer or accountant can help create the legacy gift program that works best for you.

The Superior Hiking Trail Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Tax-ID: 41-1569104. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
