Volunteer – Crow Creek (South) Project

August 17, 2018 @ 9:00 am - August 19, 2018 @ 4:00 pm

Join SHTA volunteer crew leader Kris Nurmi to work in the Crow Creek (south) area near Castle Danger. We will be working to improve the river bank and river crossing. We will be moving heavy rocks using a come-along to assist, but volunteer should still anticipate some heavy lifting. In addition to rock work, we will be dismantling an old bridge. Most of the work will take place in and around the water.

We need 8-10 volunteers for each day. Volunteers can sign up for all days or whichever day works for you.

Bring lunch and water, gloves if you have them, and anything else you need for a day on the trail: bug spray, sunblock, etc. Waterproof boots that go up to your knees are recommended, or boots that you don’t mind getting wet. Tools will be provided.

We’ll meet at Castle Danger Trailhead at 9am, hike down to the worksite (less than one mile), and return to the trailhead no later than 4pm.

To sign up, email SHTA trail development director Jo Swanson at [email protected].
